The pastel patent Christian Louboutin heels were a perfect match for her playful Smurfette dress.

Katy, who voiced Smurfette in the film, got into character in a beaded Smurfette mini dress designed by The Blonds. We wonder if her role as the blond smurf inspired her recent hair color change?

Demi: "My issues stem from other things that happened in my childhood."

demi lovato opens up about more personal issues
We're glad that Demi feels comfortable opening up so much. It can be very unhealthy to keep everything bottled up.
Last week, Demi Lovato opened up about some very personal issues including her eating disorder, her time in rehab, and her depression.
Now, Demi has opened up about some more personal issues, as well as the reaction to her new single Skyscraper.
Here's Demi on the origin of her issues that brought her to rehab:
"…My issues stem from other things that happened in my childhood. They are issues that every girl deals with, whether they're in the spotlight or not. Cutting has become so common with so many girls and in almost every family people have tried it or experimented with it and there is addiction all over the place. It doesn't necessarily come from being a quote unquote child star."
Demi on why she's been so vocal about her personal issues:
"Because I know that if I can use my voice to speak to one person, or one family, then I've done my part. I feel like it's no coincidence that God put me through all of this and has also given me the voice that I have. I feel like my purpose on earth is much greater than just being a singer, a musician or actress. I think it's to reach out to people and to raise awareness of these issues that not many people speak about."
"I would love to see people get help for the issues that I've spoken about and see me as an example and say, 'Wow, there is a life outside of this addiction or this eating disorder.' I think for me, if it prevents somebody from going down the path that I did, or if it saves someone's life because they choose to get help, then I've done my part."
Demi on whether or not she considers herself to be recovered:
"No. This is an ongoing process and the hardest part about these diseases is that they're things that I'm going to have to face every day for the rest of my life. I'm going to mess up and I'm not going to be perfect, but as long as I try everyday to get better and better myself, then I'm one step ahead of where I was before."
And on a lighter note, here's Demi on the positive response to her new single Skyscraper:
"There has been so much positive feedback, it's been so incredible. I hear that people like Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson respect my music and are even tweeting about it on their own time. I mean, it's just been so amazing and I've been so thankful and grateful. It's just so exciting for me, because these are people I look up to myself and then hearing that they're tweeting about me; it's like a dream come true."
We're so glad you're finding happiness in your new music, Demi! We know you've been through a lot and you've got a ways to go as you move forward with your recovery, but we're VERY proud of you and we know you can do it!
Keep up the good work and stay strong!

Breakup, schmeakup!
Just four days after announcing the end of her 7-year marriage to Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez proved she's still a superstar — and a professional — during a work trip to the Republic of Crimea in Ukraine on Tuesday.
Lopez, 41, was paid a reported $1 million to sing at the lavish wedding of the son of Azam Aslamov, a Uzbek oil tycooon. Arriving early Tuesday morning with a large entourage of dancers, backup singers and make-up artists, the "American Idol" judge checked into the $4,100-a-night penthouse suite of the hotel Ville Elena.
After spending much of the day inside, Lopez and her crew emerged to leave for the bash and was "very pleasant" to the staff, manager Yekaterina Komarova said. "[She] greeted everyone, smiled alot," thanking the staff and signing the guest book — and even signed autographs and took photos with fans.
Held at a recreational complex on the Black Sea coast, the lavish wedding itself is reported to have cost up to $15 million — with 500 guests, some of the arriving via helicopter; super-tight security and 100 waiters presiding over the feast.
During her performance, an ebullient Lopez wowed the crowd.
"Are you happy?" she exclaimed onstage. "I am happy, because I am here with you today!"
Indeed, although one pal says Lopez is "devastated" and "beside herself" that she and Anthony, 42, have called it quits,  "she is looking forward to the future," another confidante says in the new Us Weekly, out now.
"She is jumping back into work and being a mom [to twins Max and Emme, 3] with all her energy and she is really excited. She feels like she has grown leaps and bounds and is a new person now, better than ever!"

Lady Gaga: Drugs made me feel like I had a friend

Lady Gaga spoke bluntly about the drug use in her past, but encouraged young fans to stay away from substance abuse.
By Gina Serpe
There seems to be nothing Lady Gaga won't share with her Little Monsters. And Howard Stern, well, you'd be hard-pressed to find a topic that's off-limits when he's in the studio, either. So when the meeting of the minds between pop's biggest superstar and radio's O.G. shock jock met up yesterday, the possibilities for where the conversation could go were seemingly endless.
So of course they wound up talking about sex and drugs. And yes, even a little music.
Stern, a self-proclaimed fan of Gaga's, albeit jokingly less so of her allegedly Stern-bullying Little Monsters didn't waste much time in getting to the heart of the matter during the nearly hourlong interview, which also saw her Ladyship perform "The Edge of Glory"--which Stern dubbed one of the best performances ever on his show--and "Hair," which nearly brought Robin Quivers to tears.

"When you talk about getting high, I mean, you were doing some hard core drugs, you were into coke and you loved Ecstasy so much," Stern began.
"No, not then," Gaga interrupted. "I did later."

However, she went on to say that "no, no way" did she do any drugs today, unless of course you count pot. Which Gaga apparently doesn't.
"Well, come on, that's not..." she laughed. "I really don't do it very often. I'm really honest about it.
"My past using any drugs or dressing any certain way was never a rebellion, it was never meant to be a f--k you."
As for what drew her to the illegal substances, then, she explained that she was simply trying to feel good--or feel anything.
Story: Gaga on Midler: 'Maybe we're just cut from the same cloth'
"I was so unhappy," she explained. "Yeah. I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drugs that made me feel like I had a friend...I didn't do it with other people. I did it alone. I did it all alone in my apartment and I wrote music and you know what, I regret every line I ever did. So to any of the little sweethearts that are listening, don't touch it, it's the devil."
As for the sex part of their talk, Gaga played very coy around questions of her love life, saying she did not currently have a boyfriend--"What boyfriend?" she asked, going on to call Luc Carl her "best friend"--but was still managing to find a way to, well, tend to her needs.
"I got laid last night," she spilled, going on to joke that "it's hard to find a boyfriend who doesn't mind a good tuck."

She was also open about her experimentation (come on, you knew Stern was going to ask about her girl-on-girl past), but laughed that, "that was later, that was college, that was brief."
"I've got a lot of young fans," she told Stern after honestly answering just about every question thrown her way.
"I love you and I respect this show and I know you want to talk about sex and cocaine and all of that, but the truth is I don't want anyone doing drugs, a, and b, honestly you should wait as long as you can to have sex, because as a woman you don't even begin to enjoy it until your mid-20s. When you're 17, you don't even know how to operate what's going on down there and you shouldn't try."
The more you know, eh Monsters?

Stars Aligned: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber: Pisces, born March 1, 1994

Look out Justin Bieber fans. If the stars are any indication, your favorite teenage popstar may be permanently off the market! That's because he's found himself with Selena Gomez, and man the stars just don't align like this every day.

The Good: The Cancer/ Pisces combination is one of the strongest, most natural matches in the Zodiac. It's even described by some guides as a "divine" partnership thanks to the way the two Water signs interact. As a Cancer, Selena's presence calms and even grounds Justin's freewheeling Pisces ways. They just started dating in January and there are already rumors that Selena has curbed Justin's early signs of diva-like behavior.

"Maybe it’s because she ‘gets’ it, fully understands the whole fame thing because she deals with it herself,” a secret source close to the singer has said. “But boy, she sure can make him laugh at the insanity of it all, and get him to relax and have fun.”

Like a true Cancer, Selena has repeatedly explained that family and values play a large role in the decisions she makes. She's carved a niche as one of the only A-list former Disney stars not to have any kind of scandal marring her parent-friendly reputation, and that narrative matches up with Justin's life. Cancers are known for putting family and home ahead of other concerns, and that rings true with Selena, whose mom personally signed off on her initial meeting with Justin.

Stars AlignedStars Aligned is a weekly column that looks at the astrological compatibility of some of the most famous celebrity couples.Selena explained to David Letterman (video above right) that she first met Justin when his manager "called my mom, who's my manager," and she later told Jay Leno that "he passed the test" with her mom.

For his part, Justin's Pisces nature brings a creative spirit to this relationship that will help Selena grow as both a person and an artist. You can bet if these two stay together her music will improve as she spends time with Justin and possibly even allows herself to collaborate with him.

Is this perfect or what?

The Bad: All the stars in the galaxy can't change the fact that this is young love. Justin turned 17 in March and Selena turns 19 this month. You know what usually happens to relationships this young? They die a painful, horrible death that leaves both partners in the kind of mental anguish that great pop music thrives on. That means that if/when these two split, you can bet fans will be lining up to hear their post break-up material.

In the Stars: Even if their youth ultimately dooms Justin and Selena's relationship, it's the kind of thing that's going to stick with them for the rest of their lives. They match up so well that if there is a split somewhere down the road it's not inconceivable that they could reunite sometime later. Like it or not, Justin and Selena have the real deal going here, even if it's just until they're old enough to hit the party scene.
